About EBT
First held in 1979, the Brazilian Topology Meeting (EBT) has taken place biennially since 1980, becoming a well-established international conference in topology. Over the years, EBT has brought together Brazilian and international researchers working in areas such as fixed point theory, foliations, group actions, characteristic classes, topology of manifolds, bordism, homotopy, singularities, braid groups, coverings, and topological data analysis (TDA), at the interface of algebraic and differential topology. In 2026, the XXIV EBT will be hosted by the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES), in Vitória, ES. The meeting is open to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, as well as researchers at all career stages, and will feature plenary lectures, short talks, minicourses, and poster sessions.
